LAKE SVETLOYAR (Shambhala Russia) is a legendary lake located in the Nizhny Novgorod region. According to the local historian N. N. Khlopushina, the lake is of glacial-karstic origin; karst collapse that ensued as a result of a small earthquake, increased the lake depth to 25.5 m at relatively small sizes – h meters. The usual epithet, which is presented Svetloyar – “Pearl of the sky overturned in the green rim of the forest.” The surroundings of the lake are famous for their renomirani, some see in the water the reflection of the domes of the legendary Kitezh and hear the bell ringing.

Hamilton Pool (Hamilton Pool) – ground and underground lake in North America. Is located about 37 km West of Austin, Texas (USA).
The lake is very beautiful, but also unusual in that it represents at the same time ground and underground lake. The underground part of Hamilton Pool is located under a huge stone arch, disappearing deep into the rock mass. Final touch to this scenery is the waterfall, ronaldi its waters from a height of 15 meters.
The lake was formed thousands of years ago as a result of collapse of the limestone dome of an underground river due to massive erosion. Water underground rivers flow into the river flowing nearby Pedernales (Pedernales river), which, in turn, is a tributary of the Colorado river (Colorado).
Interesting that the water of the underground river that feeds the lake flow into the river Pedernales, and the last is a tributary of the famous Colorado river. So lake Hamilton Pool is associated with the Colorado river. Continue reading
The main river of Hungary, the Danube, crosses the Northern part of the hills is narrow, with steep banks, deep valley through the Midlands, forming a picturesque valley.
The mountains here are low, but due to their volcanic origin, have almost “Alpine” character.
Budapest is located in the southern end of this narrow portion of the river valley.
