Day trip to lake

In 1982 in the province of Surat Thani was built a dam for hydroelectric power. This was a huge flooded canyon, an area of about 170 square km, is located among the array of karst mountains with elevations up to 1000 meters. These mountains exceed the height of the best-known similar arrays in the Bay of Phang nga (Thailand) and Halong Bay (Vietnam).

The lake is almost completely surrounded by wild jungle. Drive up to it is possible only by hydroelectric dams and from the pier to go to travel to it by motor boat. For many animals living in the jungle, the lake is the only source of fresh water, so in the evening and at night they come close to the shores to drink. Here you can see antelopes, Gibbons and other species of monkeys, tapirs, wild boars, variety of exotic birds.

On the territory of the lake has several floating hotels. In them the electricity is produced by generators. A huge variety of people from different countries come here to be alone with nature, to fully break away from the troubles of our civilized world. Better to come here for 2-3 days, but one day here will leave indelible impressions in your memory.

7:30-8:00 You will be picked up from your hotel by air-conditioned van and You will go to the lake Chiew LAN. Travel time 3-3.5 hours. Along the way You will make one or two stops to rest and drink a Cup of coffee.

At 10:30 You will arrive at the pier, where You will brief about the tour

Then by boat You will travel along the shores of the lake, watching wild animals

12:30 – 13:00 – lunch in a restaurant in a hotel

Next free time. You can go swimming, kayaking or fishing

14:30 return to the pier, then on the way back to Phuket You will stop to explore the cave, and then ride on a bamboo raft on a small river in the jungle.

19:00 return to Phuket
